Happy Birthday.

February 22, 2011

Hi! They did a Barista highlight on me over at Brew Coffee Shop! It’s super cute and talks about my “signature” drink. I love making interesting lattes out of tea and experimenting with drinks, and while playing around one day making a drink for a friend, I invented one that taste just like Birthday Cake! Here is how you can make it:

We Cant All Craft War All Day.

February 6, 2011

It’s been a while. I have an excuse – sort of. World of Warcraft. Yeah. I used to play years ago when it first came out and I was definitely the portrait of the stereo-type obsessed player. I had a Troll Shadow Pirest named “Beeps” on the server Bloodhoof. Those were the good ole’ days. Really, they were, now that i’ve been playing for about a month I’ve really notice the quality of players has gone down a lot. There is just so much uneccesary rudeness in the game. ITS A GAME, PEOPLE. It’s taken way too seriously, and while I dont know who is on the other end behind their computer, I can only imagine. I blame a lot of this on the new features of cross-server Pick Up Groups ( randomized groups of people pulled together to complete difficult levels. ) It’s so easy to be a piece of shit when you know at any moment you can teleport out and never speak or run into them again.

Now I have a new character, her name is “Galaxies”. I play on Lightning’s Blade. She is a Draenei Priest, but I am unhappy in my decision to roll Alliance. I only did so to play with a friend, but we rarely play together so I am thinking a transfer back to the Horde side of life is in order. I feel so wrong wearing a Horde hoodie and playing Alliance, Maybe i’ll be a Goblin – they are the Jersey Shore of the game and it is hilarious.

So, i’ve been busy crafting war and it feels awesome. I love the game and am glad to be back, and am hoping as I level higher the quality of the game will be better and i’ll meet some decent players. Other than that, i’ve just been working, riding my bike, sleeping – whatever.  Recently Fort. Lauderdale had a Critical Mass – which is an organized group bike ride through traffic to raise awareness for cyclists. Critical Mass happens all over the US and there is starting point and the ending is usually a bar. ( awesome.) We started at Brew Coffee Shop ( my job! ) and ended at a bar for drinks. I love my fixed gear, and I love rides – and I love community rides more than anything. It’s such a refreshing, invigorating feeling. I wish it was every single day.  Here are some photos a friend of mine took:

Awkward Moments in Internet Devolution.

December 26, 2010

This video is great. The internet is creepy and if i didn’t have this blog I’d probably disappear from it entirely. I suggest watching the entire video. This dreamy creep makes some pretty great points. The amount of time spent on facebook by most people could have been numerous books finished, projects started and completed, plans made,  memories made, go to the gym, invite friends over, etc. Think about it.

Testing, 1…2.

December 20, 2010

I am trying to figure out how to get my blog posts to automatically post to my tumblr. I am usually bad with this sort of stuff. This is just a random test post to see if i’ve got it, and to sort of tell you to please look at my tumblr. if you have one, add me. i follow every new follower. i post namely nerd shit, science shit, bike shit and tattoo shit. surprise, surprise.

Here is an pretty intriguing picture for your time:

Here is a bizarre but true story for your time:

I went to see Black Swan tonight, and before the last finale dance started, this couple who had been talking and giggling at ever sexy scene ( i.e the whole movie ) were being loud, so I turned around to ask them to PLEASE stop talking. In short, the couple were a pair of BODYBUILDING gay dudes – easily 3-4 times my size. One guy freaks out instantly and SLAPS THE SHIT OUT OF ME. I can not make this shit up. This is my life. I didnt get to see the last ten minutes, but, up until that the movie was griping and flawless. Go see it! Just dont get slapped by giant men because the cops cant do shit.

Lucky Luna.

November 19, 2010

So, I got anther tattoo. No big surprise there. It might be a little strange that its my second Sailor Moon tattoo in one month, and probably not my last.

Done by Jessica "Pooka" Herrera at Phat Joe's in Miami, Florida. She is an ULTRA babe.

Its Luna from Sailor Moon as a japanese Lucky Cat, with the sign for Venus in the coin. Venus is one of my favorite Sailor Scouts and her symbol is precious. It turned out better than I could imagine and since Pooka is a fellow nerd -  I cant wait to go back to her for more nerd tattoos!

Game Girl.

October 25, 2010

I finally put down the controller long enough to snap a quick picture of the base of my Gameboy Halloween costume. I got my dress from the talented Sew Oeno! She has a lot of different dresses she makes, and she is so nice I bet you could commission her to make something not seen on her Etsy. They are all hand made by her, and are sewn VERY well. I was honestly surprised and delighted when I received it in the mail. It was well packaged, with a few cute little surprises other than the dress. Very happy with the fit and construction. I will definitely buy from her again. Go check out her store!

One day i’ll either get a better camera, or learn how to take pictures. I am the absolute worst. I am really excited for Halloween even though I dont even have ant concrete plans yet. I just like the feeling this time of year brings. This year really feels like it has gone by really, really quickly. That can be both good, and bad. The other day I was feeling sort of nostalgic about colored hair, and decided to incorporate purple and teal on either sides of my head. I took two large panels from underneath my hair, did two bleach sessions and used manic panic and Aussie 3 minute miracle to fight damage and it came out perfect. No damage at all, which is great, since I have been growing my hair for about 3 years now.

Tattoo Snob

October 18, 2010

A few days ago I went to check one of my favorite blogs, Tattoo Snob, and saw that they featured some of my tattoos on there! This meant a lot to me since I pride myself in only having good tattoos, and being thoughtful in what I get, and getting it done well. They are so picky with what they post on their aptly named blog; which is whyI am both in love with their site, and flattered to have been a part of it. Go check out Tattoo Snob!

Moon Prism Power!

October 16, 2010

Today one of my besties, Sarah, and I got (another) matching tattoo. We grew up loving Sailor Moon, and even as adults talk about it all the time. Im not ashamed, shit. This wont be my last Sailor Moon tattoo either, as I plan on having another tattooer friend and Sailor Moon enthusiast tattoo something else related on me sometime soon. We got Sailor Moon’s Crescent Moon Wand, but we had Steve draw it up like an old traditional tattoo! Too cute.

This is a picture of Sarah and I from about a year ago! Its crazy how my hair has doubled in length, and my amount of tattoos has doubled as well…haha!

In my opinion, only thing better than a nerd tattoo, is a twin tattoo.

Gary Gygax: A legend. A kitten.

October 6, 2010

So, we decided to name the kitten Gary after Gary Gygax, the creator and father of Dungeons and Dragons. He died a few years ago, and I was more upset about that than any and all celebrity overdoses combined.

Gary likes what I like. Spiderman pillows and Push-Ups!
